Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) are network security and business practice guidelines adopted by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, and JCB to establish a “minimum security standard” to protect customer’s payment card information. It’s a requirement for all merchants that store, transmit, or process payment card information.


Quinn Data Facilities Inc. receives letter of Compliance on PCI DSS

Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is vital for activities involving card payments whether it’s storing, processing or transmitting cardholder’s detail.

As a call center engaged in telemarketing activities, being PCI compliant means that our business adheres to the PCI DSS requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. In operational terms, being PCI compliant means we are playing our role to make sure our customers’ payment card information is being kept safe throughout every transaction.

Though there is a lot of work required and there is cost involved to be PCI Compliant, Quinn Data Facilities Inc. ensures that it implements international best practices.

QDF SPREADS THE REAL CHRISTMAS SPIRIT AND MADE IT MORE MEANINGFUL THROUGH GALA (Gabay ng Landas) OUTREACH PROGRAM

Marikina, Philippines — It turned out to be a very merry season for more than 50 local children whose holiday wouldn’t have been nearly as memorable if not for the timeless effort of QDF Management and Employees.

Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 – QDF Management headed by our chairman Mr. Bob Quinn, General Manager Engr. Joy Presillas, HR Head Miss. Luz Lunasco, staff and employees gathered for one day worthy cause and spent time to all kids in GALA. There were featured fun games, exciting gift giving, song and dance presentations, delicious meal for everyone, photos together with the kids and all QDF volunteers expressing the holiday cheer. Upon our arrival, the children were extremely excited in giving us their warm hugs and smiles.

Gabay ng Landas or “GALA” began to care for 10 street children in Marikina in October 2007 .

After a year, there were 40 regular fostered students and four scholars in regular schools, usually out of school, abandoned street children who are victims of physical and verbal abuse, and child labor.

Its Mission is to help fostered abandoned and unschooled street children become relevant members of the community, through education, social development, and most importantly, by being committed followers of Jesus Christ. On the other hand their vision is to establish GALA centers in all key cities of Metro Manila and to spearhead throughout the country, a Christ-centered and family-oriented approach in removing impoverished and abandoned children from the streets.

As QDF is serious to be a Socially Responsible company, the management promotes and encourages all of its employees to get involved in meaningful social enhancement activities like this. The event turned out to be a Big Success as we spent quality time and put a smile on every kids face.

An 8-year-old kid to said, “your presence makes us really feel we are special and important. We hope that you will not forget us and come back again soon. “

One volunteer in particular, Paul Hopkins, who is one of our sales supervisors said, “It was really a great privilege to see this kids having fun and this is one of the best experience I had in my entire life and I mean it. I will definitely visit them again soon. “
